Introducing LSW's new

A series of high value one-day events held at Learning
South West’s Bishops Hull House in Taunton (or in-house
at your own organisation) for work-based learning
and college providers in the Further Education & Skills
Sector.
Ofsted’s new Common Inspection Framework and related policy and funding changes will mean that:
• Excellence in teaching and learning is critical
• ‘Outstanding’ providers will enjoy greater flexibility
• Providers formerly considered to be ‘satisfactory’ will be under substantial pressure to improve
In a climate of funding challenges and rapid change in policy and infrastructure, the ability to offer high quality,
cost-effective learning and skills provision has never been more important.
Learning South West is offering focussed and practical sessions over the next few months to enable you as providers to:
• understand in detail the best and the worst of your provision
• understand the ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘why’ of the factors which contribute to aspects of your provision
being inadequate or mediocre, rather than good or outstanding
• enable your organisation to move towards becoming outstanding across all the dimensions of the
services you provide
The series will begin with an event about readiness for short notice inspection, and move on to focus on specific aspects of outstanding provision.

Each event will be competitively priced at £95.00 per person (for LSW Member organisations) and £190.00 per person (for non-members).
Any organisation registering for 3 or more places, in any combination, on any of the above events will
receive a 20% discount on their total booking.
Our Autumn Programme will include events about ‘outstanding’ approaches to being a welcoming place of learning; to assessment; and to developing the capacity to improve.
