Course Information

Our Programmes
We aim to support those working with young people outside of formal education, and can
provide tailored "in-house" provision and open programmes
CfIL is accredited to deliver the following ABC Awards qualifications:
Level 2 Award in Youth Work Practice
The Level 2 Award in Youth Work Practice is a great short introduction to youth work, providing 12 credits towards the Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work practice. We are happy to run this programme for groups of between 12 and 30 learners, and can deliver the content in 8 sessions, either as full days, evenings or it fits really well into a residential weekend. To discuss how it could work for you, contact Gill Millar or call 01823-365652.
Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
The Level 2 Certificate is the JNC recognised qualification for first level Youth Support Workers. It provides a thorough introduction to youth work and the settings in which it takes place. This programme works well with groups of up to 30 learners, and can be delivered through a mix of taught sessions and work-based learning.
Level 3 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Youth Work Practice
Level 3 programmes in youth work provide a more in depth insight into youth work principles, practice and skills, and include work based assessment. The Level 3 Diploma is the JNC recognised qualification for higher level Youth Support Workers. We can deliver these programmes to groups of up to 24, using a mix of taught sessions and work based assessment, or to individuals on an ‘assessment-plus’ basis
Level 3 & Level 4 Certificate in Working with Vulnerable Young People
These programmes will help practitioners working with young people in a wide range of settings and focus on the needs of young people from disadvantaged groups. We can provide individual taught modules or whole programmes, either in-house for organisations or on an open-access basis
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
This is the recognised qualification for Assessors in work-based and other settings. Our courses are designed for those who will be assessing in work with children and young people outside formal education, and include a mix of taught sessions and assessment of your assessment practice!
We are also actively seeking to increase the portfolio of courses we are able to offer. Therefore should the course you are interested in not be in the above list, please do contact us as we may still be able to
help you.
To discuss how any of the programmes could work for your organisation, to include cost of courses and start/finish dates please contact
