Learn Plus

Leading teacher educators from Portugal, Austria, Poland, Turkey and Switzerland meet in the UK as part of the Learn + project.

15 April 2010

Paula Jones, Chief Executive of Learning South West, welcomed leading teacher educators from Portugal, Austria, Poland, Turkey and Switzerland to the Taunton based charity’s headquarters on 15th and 16th April.

The multi-national group of teacher educators are working on the Learn + project to help vocational tutors manage diversity in their teaching, and so aid learning success for all. The project will design a professional development programme of use to tutors across the European Union.

Learning South West is the UK partner in the Learn+ project funded by the Grundtvig Lifelong Learning Programme.

Commenting on Learning South West’s involvement in the project, Paula Jones said: “We are delighted to be a partner in this project as it will help bring a wider community of teacher educators together and find solutions which will hopefully help hundreds of teachers and their learners.”
