Management and Governance

Learning South West is a registered charity (registered charity No: 1020027) and membership body. The charity is constituted as a company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital under the Companies Act, and is governed by the terms of its Memorandum and Articles of Association.

The Board is made up of the Trustees who are also the Directors of the charity for the purpose of company law. The Trustees are also the Directors of the company and the Chief Executive is Company Secretary.  Trustees can be recommended for appointment by either existing trustees or members of Learning South West for a period of office of up to 3 years, at which point they must resign and be re-appointed, if appropriate.

Trustees are appointed in a personal capacity but details of their current employment are included as this is part of the experience that they bring to their role as trustee.
