Neil Tattersall
Neil specialises in advising on quality improvement, post-compulsory initial teacher training, and skills for life. He has carried out over forty inspections in the foundation area for both ALI and Ofsted. He is a Reviewer in initial teacher training for Standards Verification UK, and he works as a consultant in Skills for Life, both independently, and as an associate for Tribal Education, Protocol Professional, and Clark Lukander.
Neil’s previous experience includes:
• teaching and managing in four FE colleges, two at Director level
• membership of the secretariat for an examinations board
• working as an education officer in FE for two local authorities, Salford and Devon
• managing the education provision in a prison.
• working as a national NVQ Development Officer for HM Prison Service.
• working as a Facilitator for the LSC Skills for Life Quality Initiative.
Neil's recent projects include:
• For Standards Verification UK:
Assistant Standards Verification Manager endorsing post-compulsory initial teacher training programmes offered by higher education institutions and awarding bodies.
• For Bournemouth and Poole College:
Director of Skills for Life responsible, amongst others, for producing the college’s Skills for Life strategic and implementation plan.
• For Kingston Maurward College, Dorchester:
Consultant producing the college’s Skills for Life strategic plan.
