like us
The South West CETT is a partnership co-ordinated by Learning South West

Members from organisations within the partnership come together through a range of regional networks/forums and CPD events.
In addition, the SWCETT partnership is overseen by a SWCETT Management Group, which meets regularly to update, share news and explore opportunities to work together collaboratively on specific pieces of work.
The Management Group Membership is made up of colleagues from
• Further Education

• Specialist Educational Organisations
• Public Services

• and the Third Sector
From 2007 to 2010 the Centres for Excellence in Teacher Training (CETTs) received Government funding through the Learning & Skills Improvement Service (LSIS). These included projects which produced useful resources around
• Reflective Practice
• Mentoring
- The SMILE Project (Supporting Mentoring
in Adult Learning Environments)
- support materials including videos and
podcasts of mentor practice; templates
and examples of documentation
and material to support reflective practice
• Equality and Diversity
• Supporting practitioners from a wide range of contexts to access and undertake
ITT programmes, including producing guidance for those not used to academic
writing around undertaking study at Level 4 - Contextualising ITT for Non-traditional
Client Groups
and national and regional dissemination events on
• Sustaining the Future of Teacher Education
“Just Suppose” - a national conference with
a difference
• "It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it!"
- a celebration of the SWitch Centre for
Excellence in Teacher Training
• "SWitching On Together" - a conference
focussing on the work and findings of SWitch
Partnership activities over the period
