A Green Venue
Learning South West is committed to supporting the sustainable development of the South West in all areas of our activity.
Staff and visitors to Bishops Hull House are encouraged to recycle with collection points around the conference facility. Our organic waste is also collected and goes on the compost heap that is used to make our garden flourish.
We are committed to supporting local producers and the local economy using locally sourced, organic produce where possible. Our suppliers include Rumwell Farm Shop, near Taunton and Edgemoor Spring Water from Exmoor.
We also use environmentally friendly Ecover products. Even the ladies toilets are painted with Aura environmentally friendly paint and we use recycled hand towels!
Our beautiful gardens are maintained by gardener Dillys Milard, a great believer in using environmentally sound practices that work in harmony with nature. .
