 Teaching and Learning 14-16:  What's the difference?

 Participants will explore differences in teachers’ roles and responsibilities
 when working with young learners and consider effective approaches to
 creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for 14-16 year olds

 Topics for discussion and development will include:

 •   effective behaviour management
 •   physical, social and intellectual development of young people
 •   adapting teaching to support high quality vocational learning at different
     stages of development
 •   safeguarding students’ well-being

Stress Awareness in the Workplace

13 million working days are lost each year through stress. We can be aware
that colleagues are under too much pressure, but how do we raise the
subject if we think their health and work are beginning to suffer - and how
do we provide support?

This introduction to stress management will enable participants to recognise
signs and symptoms more clearly, and consider strategies for managing
stress effectively. For all who need to be able to recognise and address
stress in themselves and/or their colleagues

Course accreditation (optional):  this course is accredited through the
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and successful completion
will provide attendees with a nationally recognised certificate.  If delegates
wish to gain this certification there will be an extra charge of £20.00 per
person in addition to the standard delegate fee for the day.

 Dyslexia in Depth (1) - taking a cross-organisation approach
 to supporting dyslexia

 whole organisation approach to support, and is aimed at managers,
 teachers or trainers from any further education or training organisation

Teacher Educators' Forum
